GLYCERIN

                               Glycerin is also known as glycerol, glycerine. It is a colorless, odurless, sweet-tasting, viscous liquid which is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations. It's a byproduct in the
production of bio-diesel.  In food and beverages, glycerin acts as a solvent, sweetener and it also helps in preserving food articles. Its a natural product so don't have side effects.
                                                              It is a traditional cosmetic content and has been in use for many years because its so safe and effective. Glycerin is used in medical and personal care formulations, mainly to improve smoothness, lubrication and to retain moisture. 


PROPERTIES :-

  • It helps your skin to retain moisture.
  • It is effective on dry and chapped lips.
  • Glycerin is very effective for oily skin by treating skin problems like acne.
  • It is used as a moisturizer to treat dry cough, itchy skin and skin irritation.
  • For dry hand problem one should use it every time after washing your hands.
  • It helps in removing dead skin cells.
  • Gives skin a radiant glow.
  • It treat dark spots problem.
  • It also helps on reducing wait.


USE OF GLYCERIN IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-

1) FOR DRY SKIN -

                      5 to 6 drops of glycerin oil
                      5 to 6 drops of olive oil
                      2 to 3 drops of honey
                      1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
       
  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add water accordingly to make a thin paste.
  • Mix this mask thoroughly.
  • Apply it evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with water

2) FOR OILY SKIN -

                      5 to 6 drops of glycerin
                      1/4th tbsp orange juice
                      1 tbsp fuller earth (multani mitti)

  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Add water to make a thin paste
  • Apply it evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10  minutes
  • Rinse it with water


3) FOR NORMAL SKIN -

                       5 to 6 drops of glycerin
                       1/4th tbsp of rose water
                       1/4th tbsp liquorice (mulethi dal) powder                
  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add water accordingly to make a thin paste.
  • Mix this mask thoroughly.
  • Apply it evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with water 


4) FOR ACNE -

                     8 to 10 drops of glycerin
                     1/4th tbsp of orange juice
                     2 drops of lemon juice
                     3 to 4 drops of almond oil
                     1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti)

  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Add water to make a thin paste
  • Apply it evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10  minutes
  • Rinse it with water
