JAMUN

                                         Jamun tree belongs to genus Syzygium and species Syzygium cumini. It is a
native of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia and Philippines.  Its one of the greatest fruits ever. In past, this fruit was used for non diabetic disorders, but later it was discovered by ayurvedic scholars
that the seed of this fruit have anti-diabetic properties too. 
                                                        
                                          It is also known as jambu / jambhul / jambhula / jamboola , black palm etc. This tropical fruit has a unique taste, color and flavor. The fruit is acidic in nature, with a sweet taste. Because of its acidic nature one should have this fruit with salt. 


 PROPERTIES :-

  • It gives a great help in cleaning pores

USE OF JAMUN IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-


1) FOR OILY SKIN -


              

              






                                        1/4 th tbsp jamun fruit paste
                    1/4 th tbsp indian gooseberry (amla) juice
                    1 tbsp barley (jau) flour
                    Rose water


  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 15 min 
  • Rinse it with water 


2) FOR ACNE -

                     1/4 th tbsp jamun seed powder
                     1/4 th tbsp orange powder
                     2 drops almond oil
                     1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
                     Rose water


  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 15 min 
  • Rinse it with water 


3) FOR FAIRNESS -


  1/4 th tbsp jamun seed powder
  1/4 th tbsp sweet lime juice
  1/4 th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
  2 drops almond oil
  1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
  Rose water


  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 15 min 
  • Rinse it with water 


4) FOR DARK SPOT -

                      1/4 th tbsp jamun seed powder
                      1/4 th tbsp indian gooseberry (amla) powder
                      2 drops almond oil
                      Pinch of lemon powder
                      1 tbsp gram flour (besan)
                      Rose water


  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 15 min 
  • Rinse it with water

  1. I have pigmentation on both cheeks. Can nutmeg help in lighting the pigmentation spot?
