CAMPHOR

                         It's a waxy, white or transparent solid with a strong, aromatic odor. Camphor is a substance derived from the tree Cinnamomum camphora found in Asia, china, japan etc. It is used
for its scent, ingredients in cooking, for medical purposes,religious ceremonies, also used as an anti-odor element and kept in cupboard corners as a insect repellent. 
                                     It has been used in skin care products because of its cooling, analgesic and anti-itch properties  from past so many years. 
        

PROPERTIES :-
  • It gently helps oily, problematic skin.
  • It purifies and tones the skin.
  • Prevents accumulation of impurities on skin.
  • It reduces the appearance of pores and improves skin complexion
  • In cough it is applied on chest for easy breathing.
  • It is applied on skin to help itching or irritation.
  • It act as a painkiller when applied on the affected skin.   

USE OF CAMPHOR IN DIFFERENT MASKS :- 

1) FOR GLOW -

                 Pinch of camphor
                 5 drops almond oil
                 1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
                 Milk

  • Mix all  the above ingredients together.
  • Add milk to make a paste of it.
  • Apply it evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Wet your hands and gently massage your face.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water.


2) FOR ACNE -

                Pinch of camphor
                1/4th tbsp calendula flower paste
                1 tbsp fuller's earth (multani mitti)
                Rose water  


  • Mix all  the above ingredients together.
  • Add rose water to make a paste of it.
  • Apply it evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it with water.


3) FOR FAIRNESS -

                Pinch of camphor
                Pinch of nut meg (jayaphala) powder
               1/4th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
               4 drops of almond oil
               Rose water

  • Mix all  the above ingredients together.
  • Add rose water to make a paste of it.
  • Apply it evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Wet your hands and gently massage your face.

YOGURT (curd)

                 Its a dairy product obtained by coagulating milk with an edible acidic substance such as vinegar or lemon juice. The increased acidity causes the milk proteins  to convert into curd. Curd is a
healthy and universally beneficial food. It have better nutritive value than milk. Curd is known for its smoothness and its refreshing taste. 
                                        Its a rich source of vitamin B, calcium and zinc which are best known for skin care.

PROPERTIES :-

  • It has a property to clear skin internally and externally and it leaves your skin with glow and smoothness.
  • Zinc present in the curd assists to decrease the blemishes as well as to cure the acne problem.
  • It also gives soothing and hydrating effect to the skin.
  • Its the best moisturizer particularly for dry skin.
  • It treat sunburn by reducing the pain.
  • Regular application removes dark spots.
  • Curd has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • It is widely used to treat diarrhea and dysentery.
  • Act as an appetizer. 


USE OF YOGURT IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-

1) FOR FAIRNESS -
  
                      2 tbsp curd
                      Pinch of nutmeg (jayaphala) powder
                      1 tbsp gram flour (besan)

  • Add all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Mix it thoroughly.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Wet your hands and massage it gently.
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.


2) FOR ACNE -
       
                    2 tbsp curd
                    1/4th tbsp orange powder
                    1/4th tbsp fuller's earth (multani mitti)

  • Add all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Mix it thoroughly.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Wet your hands and massage it gently.
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.                   


3) FOR WRINKLE FREE SKIN -

                    2 tbsp curd
                    Small part of kokum fruit paste
                    1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder                    
                    1/4th tbsp gram flour (besan)

  • Add all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Mix it thoroughly.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.     
4) FOR SOFT SKIN -
                   1 tbsp curd
                   5 drops almond oil
                   1/4th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
                   1/4th tbsp gram flour (besan)

  • Add all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Mix it thoroughly.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Wet your hands and massage it gently.

PEANUT

                                         The peanut, is a species in legumes. They are known by many local names such as groundnuts, earth-nuts, monkey nuts and pygmy nuts. Despite its name and
appearance, peanut is not a nut, rather its a legume. It grows best in light, sandy soil. They require five months of warm weather, and annual rainfall. Preferably they need an acidic soil to grow. Peanuts have many uses; they can be eaten raw, used in recipes, medicines and textile materials as well as in many other things. Its oil is often used in cooking. 
                                                        In Ayurvedic medicines peanuts are used extensively. They are used to help fight malnutrition. Some people have mild to severe allergic reactions to peanut exposure. 


PROPERTIES :-

                    1/4th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
                     2 to 3 drops of honey
                     2 to 3 drops of carrot seed oil
                     Rose water

  • Mix all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Wet your hands and massage it gently.
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.


2) FOR WRINKLE FREE SKIN -

                    1 tbsp of ground nut powder
                    5 to 6 drops glycerin
                    1/4th tbsp orange juice
                    2 to 3 drops carrot seed oil
                    1/4th tbsp fuller's earth (multani mitti) powder
                    Rose water

  • Mix all the ingredients
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse with water.


3) FOR ACNE -

                  1 tbsp of ground nut powder
                  5 to 6 drops turmeric oil
                  4 to 5 drops lemon juice
                  1/4th spoon fuller's earth (multani mitti) powder
                  2 to 3 drops Indian lilac (neem) oil
                  Rose water

  • Mix all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.

4) TO REMOVE DARK SPOTS -

                   1 tbsp of ground nut powder
                   8 to 10 drops glycerin
                   6 to 8 drops castor oil
                   6 to 8 drops lemon juice
                   Rose water

  • Mix all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.

                     








MILK CREAM

                          Milk cream is a dairy product that consists of higher butter fat. It is skimmed from the top of milk. Different grades of cream are differentiated by their fat content, whether they have
been heat-treated , whipped, and so on. 
                      Cream is used as an ingredient in many foods, ice cream, many sauces, soups, puddings and some custard bases, and is also used for cakes. But here we will be looking for its use in beautifying us. 


PROPERTIES :-

  • It help moisturize your skin.
  • With regular use it improves your complexion.
  • Milk cream nourishes your skin.
  • It helps to remove tan.
  • It removes blemishes. 
  • Cream makes skin glow. 


USE OF CREAM IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-

1) FOR FAIRNESS -

                  1 tbsp milk cream
                  1/4th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
                  2 to 3 drops honey
                  2 to 3 drops orange oil
                  Rose water
                

  • Mix all these ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Wet your hands and massage it gently.
  • Then rinse it with lukewarm water.

GLYCERIN

                               Glycerin is also known as glycerol, glycerine. It is a colorless, odurless, sweet-tasting, viscous liquid which is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations. It's a byproduct in the
production of bio-diesel.  In food and beverages, glycerin acts as a solvent, sweetener and it also helps in preserving food articles. Its a natural product so don't have side effects.
                                                              It is a traditional cosmetic content and has been in use for many years because its so safe and effective. Glycerin is used in medical and personal care formulations, mainly to improve smoothness, lubrication and to retain moisture. 


PROPERTIES :-

  • It helps your skin to retain moisture.

  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add water accordingly to make a thin paste.
  • Mix this mask thoroughly.

  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with water

2) FOR OILY SKIN -

                      5 to 6 drops of glycerin
                      1/4th tbsp orange juice
                      1 tbsp fuller earth (multani mitti)

  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Add water to make a thin paste
  • Apply it evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10  minutes
  • Rinse it with water


3) FOR NORMAL SKIN -

                       5 to 6 drops of glycerin
                       1/4th tbsp of rose water
                       1/4th tbsp liquorice (mulethi dal) powder                
  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add water accordingly to make a thin paste.
  • Mix this mask thoroughly.
  • Apply it evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with water 


4) FOR ACNE -

                     8 to 10 drops of glycerin
                     1/4th tbsp of orange juice
                     2 drops of lemon juice
                     3 to 4 drops of almond oil
                     1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti)

  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Add water to make a thin paste
  • Apply it evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10  minutes
  • Rinse it with water















OLIVE OIL

                                             Olive oil is an oil collected only from a fresh olive fruit. The oil is obtained by grinding whole olives and extracting the oil by mechanical or chemical means. Virgin olive oil means the oil was extracted by the use of physical means without using any chemical
process. This type of olive oil is also available in markets. In India, it is known by the name jaitun oil.
                                                                               Olive oil has been used as an ancient remedy for skin care. It is commonly used in cosmetics, cooking, pharmaceuticals and as a fuel for traditional oil lamps. Apart from skin care and food, olive oil has been used for religious rituals and medicines. Olive oil has a vast history of being used as a home remedy for skincare. It's used throughout the world and is recognized as one of the healthiest diets in the world.

                      1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
                      Rose water

  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add rose water accordingly to make a thin paste.
  • Mix this mask thoroughly.
  • Apply it evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with water


2) FOR GLOW -

                 1/4th tbsp olive oil
                 5 to 6 drops glycerin oil  
                 1/4th tbsp orange juice
                 1 tbsp fuller's earth (multani mitti)
                 1/4th tbsp lodh bark (lodhra) powder
                 Rose water

  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste
  • Apply it evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10  minutes
  • Rinse it with water


3) FOR ACNE -

                    1/4th tbsp olive oil
                    5 to 6 drops glycerin oil
                    4 to 5 drops lemon oil
                    2 tbsp liquorice (mulethi dal) powder
                    5 to 6 drops turmeric oil
                    Rose water

  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add rose water accordingly to make a thin paste.

                       8 to 10 drops glycerin oil

  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Add water to make a thin paste
  • Apply it evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10  minutes
  • Rinse it with water

















CASTOR OIL

                                                      Castor oil is a vegetable oil extracted from the castor beans. It's a colorless to a very pale yellow liquid with a mild or no odor or taste. Traditional Ayurvedic medicine 
considers castor oil the king of medicinal for curing arthritic diseases. Castor seed plant is originated in India. Food grains are preserved by applying castor oil. This application prevents rice, wheat and pulses from rotting. In the food industry, castor oil is used in flavorings and candies.                                                                         
                                It's a slow burning oil because of which it was used mostly to fuel lamps. It plays an important role in skin care products and cosmetics i.e lipsticks, soap, shampoo and others.  It is also used in different home beauty remedies.

MINT PLANT (pudina)

                                                Mint plant belong to genus Mentha. In India it's also known as pudina
and pudinhara. This plant is popular for its distinct and refreshing aroma. Mint or pudinhara has been known as a medicinal plant from last so many centuries. Different parts of this plant played important roles in various treatments from a long time. The leaves are known to be extremely popular in skin treatment.
                                                                                     This plant is also known for its cooling property and which makes best for summers. It's also use in different kind of food articles in India i.e like pudina chutney. 


PROPERTIES :-

                     1/4th tbsp mint (pudina) leaves paste
                     2 drops lemon juice
                     2 drops almond oil
                     1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal)
                     Rose water

  • Take all the above ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Mix it thoroughly.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it with water.


3) NATURAL MOISTURIZER - 

                       1 tbsp full of mint leaves paste
                       1/2 tbsp of honey

  • Mix both of them thoroughly 
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face and neck.
  • Leave it for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse it with water.

TURMERIC (haldi)

                                                   India and Pakistan are main producers of turmeric plant. This plant
has its own importance because of which it has been used in India for so many years. Turmeric is typically used in its dried form and plays a major part in Ayurvedic medicines. It has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. It's used all over the world for medicinal purpose, coloring purpose and cosmetic purpose. Indian woman apply turmeric before bathing because its antibacterial property protects the skin from infections and protects it from harmful sun rays.
                                                                                    Turmeric is considered highly pious in India and has been used in various Indian ceremonies like Pujas, wedding ceremonies and in many Asian dishes. It has a distinctly earthy smell and is slightly hot.

  • Follow with your skin type moisturizer

CORIANDER (dhania)

                                                    Coriander  belong to genus Coriandrum and species Coriandrum sativum. It is a soft, hairless plant. Leaves of this plant varies in shape, flowers are asymmetrical
white or very pale pink in color and the fruits are globular in shape. In India this plant is known as 'dhania' . Seeds of this plant is used as a spice in kitchen. Even the leaves are used in different food articles and sometimes in garnishing too. It is very easy to grow and it grows fast also.
                                                                                   Seeds of this plant have a lemony citrus flavor when crushed. This plants medicinal properties are undeniable. Both the coriander leaves and its powder are useful medical purposes.

USE OF CORIANDER IN DIFFERENT MASKS :- 


1) FOR GLOW -

                    1/4th tbsp green dhania leaves paste
                    1/4th tbsp green mint (pudina) leaves paste
                    1/4 th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
                    2 drops of almond oil
                    1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
                     Rose water

  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min 
  • Rinse it with water 
  • Later on apply your skin type moisturizer


  2) FOR ACNE - 

                1/4th tbsp dry dhania powder
                1/4th tbsp Indian gooseberry (amla) powder
                2 drops lemon oil
                2 drops almond oil
                1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
                Rose water


  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min 
  • Rinse it with water 
  • Later on apply your skin type moisturizer.

3) FOR FAIRNESS AND NOURISHMENT -

                       1/4th tbsp dry dhania powder
                       1/4th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
                       1/2th tbsp orange juice
                       2 drops almond oil 
                       2 drops of honey
                       1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
                        Rose water

  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min

INDIAN LILAC (neem)

                                   The tree neem belong to genus Azadirachta and species Azadirachta indica.
Among with many other plants and bushes, this plant is very useful to mankind in every aspect. It's one of the most beneficial ayurvedic medicinal tree. Every part of this tree i.e leaves, fruits, bark, flowers and root plays an important role in ayurvedic medicines. 
                                                              Neem is a fast growing tree, it is noted for its drought resistance and it can grow in any type of soil or atmosphere and requires less amount of water. It purifies air and improves Oxygen level in atmosphere.


PROPERTIES :- 

  • It is also used externally as a skin cleansing agent helps to reduce pimple.
  • Neem detoxify the blood, and balance blood sugar levels.
  • Leaves along with branch are boiled in water and this water is use to give baths children suffering from skin diseases.
  • Dried leaves of neem is placed in cupboards to prevent clothes from insects.
  • Neem leaves are dried and burnt in some region to keep mosquitoes away.
  • It is a key ingredient in providing natural way to keep our crops protected from pests.
  • It is anti-fungal, anti-diabetic, antiviral and antibacterial.
  • It's a main content in treating skin disease problems.
  • Neem oil is used in hair oil for healthy and nourished hair. 
  • Neem leaves are used to treat chickenpox.

 USE OF NEEM IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-

1) FOR ACNE -

                    1 tbsp neem leaves powder
                    5 drops honey
                    2 drops almond oil
                    1/2 tbsp fullers earth (multani mitti)
                    Rose water


  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add rose water to it to make a thin paste
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water

 2) FOR SKIN ELASTICITY -


                   1 tbsp neem leaves powder
                   Pinch of nutmeg (jayaphala) powder
                   1/2 tbsp fullers earth (multani mitti)
                   5 drops honey
                   2 drops almond oil
                   Rose water

  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add rose water to it to make a thin paste
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water


 3) FOR FAIRNESS -

JAMUN

                                         Jamun tree belongs to genus Syzygium and species Syzygium cumini. It is a
native of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia and Philippines.  Its one of the greatest fruits ever. In past, this fruit was used for non diabetic disorders, but later it was discovered by ayurvedic scholars
that the seed of this fruit have anti-diabetic properties too. 
                                                        
                                          It is also known as jambu / jambhul / jambhula / jamboola , black palm etc. This tropical fruit has a unique taste, color and flavor. The fruit is acidic in nature, with a sweet taste. Because of its acidic nature one should have this fruit with salt. 


 PROPERTIES :-

  • Its shows best result on oily skin.
  • It gives a great help in cleaning pores

1) FOR OILY SKIN -


              

              






                                        1/4 th tbsp jamun fruit paste
                    1/4 th tbsp indian gooseberry (amla) juice
                    1 tbsp barley (jau) flour
                    Rose water


  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 15 min 
  • Rinse it with water 


2) FOR ACNE -

                      1 tbsp gram flour (besan)
                      Rose water


  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 15 min

SANDALWOOD (chandan)

                                                 The sandal tree is botanically known as Santalum album and belong to
the family Santalaceae. Sandalwood is mostly used by perfume makers, fragrance continues to be one of the most popular form of sandalwood usage. It is used in the form of oil, paste and powder, which are heavily used for their excellent skincare enhancing qualities. 

             Sandalwood oil is a versatile essential oil. It is used in many religious ceremonies.And most importantly, it is an ancient Ayurvedic medicine used for various skin conditions.   
                                           

  PROPERTIES :- 
  • The oil has many skin benefits, it relieves both inflammation and itching. 
  • It helps healing sunburn
  • It contains anti-oxidants so act as an anti-aging 
  • It refreshes dehydrated skin by moisturizing it
  • It can be used as an astringent 
  • It can also be used to prevent marks and scars on the face. 
  • It bring radiance to dull skin
  • It is used for treating infections of the urinary tract.


 USE OF SANDALWOOD IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-

1) TO IMPROVE COMPLEXION -
                   
1 tsp sandalwood powder
2 saffron petals
Pinch of camphor
Rose water












  • Mix all the above ingredients together in a bowl and make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask on your face evenly
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with water  
       

  2) FOR ACNE -

                       1/4 tablespoon sandalwood powder
                        2 drops honey
                        Pinch of lemon powder
                        Rose water

  • Add all the above ingredients and make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this pack evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water

         
 3)   FOR GLOWING SKIN - 

                                   1/4 tablespoon of sandalwood powder
                                   Pinch of barberry (daruhaldi) powder
                                   2 drops of honey
                                   Milk 

  • Mix all the above ingredients together, add milk to make a thin paste of it.
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min
  • Then rinse it with lukewarm water                                           


 4) FOR BLEMISHES -

                             1/2th tablespoon of sandalwood powder
                              Pinch of barberry (daruhaldi) powder
                              2 drops of honey
                              1/4th tablespoon orange powder
                              Rose water


  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl add rose water to make a thin paste of it
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min
  • Rinse it lukewarm water   


  5) FOR  WRINKLE FREE SKIN -

                                       1/2th tablespoon of sandalwood powder
                                       Pinch of barberry (daruhaldi) powder
                                       1/4th tbsp of liquorice (mulethi) powder
                                       2 drops of honey
                                       Milk


  • Add all the above ingredients in a bowl add milk to make a thin paste of it
  • Mix it thoroughly and apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min
  • Rinse it lukewarm water   


6) FOR DRY AND ITCHY SKIN -

               1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder
               1 tablespoon aloe vera juice











  • Mix both the above ingredients thoroughly
  • Apply this mask on your face 
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min
  • Rinse it with water
