COCONUT

                                                Coconut tree belongs to genus Cocos and species Cocos nucifera. It
grows on sandy soil and is used to high salinity . This tree prefers area with abundant sunlight and grows throughout the tropic and subtropic areas. Different parts of coconut tree have great use in domestic, industrial and commercial fields.  It is also used in beauty industry in moisturizers, body butter etc because its readily absorbed by the skin.
                                                                         It has its own medicinal uses. It also has cultural and religious importance in many societies that use it. In Hindu tradition coconut is an essential element of rituals. Various parts of the coconut have a number of culinary uses.


PROPERTIES :-

USE OF COCONUT IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-

1) FOR GLOW - 
    
                   1 tbsp coconut milk
                   1 petal of saffron
                   Pinch of nutmeg (jayaphala) powder
                   1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
                   1/4 th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
                   Rose water

  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Apply evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.


2) FOR INSTANT FAIRNESS -

                    1/4th tbsp of coconut paste
                    1 petal of saffron
                    Pinch of nutmeg (jayaphala) powder
                    1 tbsp barley flour
                    Milk

  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Add milk to make a thin paste of it.
  • Apply this mask on your face
  • Leave it for 15 min
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water.


3) SCRUB FOR DARK SPOTS -

                   1 tbsp coconut powder
                   1 tbsp orange juice
                   Pinch of nutmeg
                   1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
                   Rose water

  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste.
  • Gently massage your face with this paste for 5 min
  • Rinse it with water.

    1. hi thanks, you asked about red lentil... in India its known as masoor dal but in English its know as red lentil only and you can get it in any grocery store hope you find it. This is the URL link to see the pic
