SAFFRON (kesar)

SAFFRON (kesar) :-
                                                       

                          It is a spice derived from the flower of Crocus sativus, which is commonly known  by the name of Saffron (kesar ). It's the most expensive spice in the whole world. The dried stigmas are used mainly in various food articles, beauty remedies and in few medicines.  
                                                    Saffron has many contents that helps when used as scrubs , face masks or consumed with milk and with other things.


  PROPERTIES :- 

  • If used in hot drinks it soothes cough and relieves cold. Use it with milk or i 
  • In massages : it relieves from pain, in particular in gums.
  • It stimulates digestion and improves digestive system  
  • It's a rich source of vitamin-B
  • It helps relive acidity and gas problem
  • It helps in relieving inflammation in arthritis and also provide relief from joint pain.
  • It helps to lower the level of bad cholesterol
  • It helps reducing dark pigmentation, acne and dark circles
  • It's a powerful remedy for improving skin tone 
  • It bring radiance to dull skin
  • It nourishes our skin, avoids prematurely ageing of skin and makes us look young

    USE OF SAFFRON IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-                                                 

      1) FOR GLOW -
                                      1 to 2 petals of saffron
                                      1 tablespoon milk
                                      One pinch of nutmeg (jayaphala) powder
  • Soak saffron petals in milk for 2 to 3 hrs
  • Mash saffron petals properly so that it mix with milk
  • Now mix a pinch of nutmeg powder to it
  •  Apply this on your face leave it for 10 to 15 minutes 
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water

       2) FOR FLAWLESS COMPLEXION -
                                                   
                                                             
                                  1 to 2 petals of saffron
                                  1 tablespoon sandalwood powder
                                  Rose water
  • Add all the above ingredients together and mix them thoroughly
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face  
  • Leave it for next 10 to 15 min
  • Rinse it with normal water

        3) FOR SMOOTH SKIN -

                2 to 3 petals of saffron
                           2 tablespoon milk 
          
  • Soak saffron petals in milk for 3 to 4 hours
  • Mash saffron petals properly 
  • Apply this on your face with help of cotton
  • Leave it till it dry then apply another coat on above it 
  • Then wait for next 10 to 15 min
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water


        4) FOR RADIANT SKIN -

                                      2 to 3 petals of saffron
                                      1 tablespoon of fresh milk cream

  • Mix both of them properly
  • Then apply this on your face
  • Gently massage your face with it for 5 min
  • Then leave it for next 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water 
          
        5) FOR SOFT SKIN -

                                         2 to 3 petals of saffron
                                         1 tablespoon of honey
  • Mix both of the above ingredients together 
  • Then apply this on your face evenly
  • Massage your face gently for 2 min
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 min 
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water
