OLIVE OIL

                                             Olive oil is an oil collected only from a fresh olive fruit. The oil is obtained by grinding whole olives and extracting the oil by mechanical or chemical means. Virgin olive oil means the oil was extracted by the use of physical means without using any chemical
process. This type of olive oil is also available in markets. In India, it is known by the name jaitun oil.
                                                                               Olive oil has been used as an ancient remedy for skin care. It is commonly used in cosmetics, cooking, pharmaceuticals and as a fuel for traditional oil lamps. Apart from skin care and food, olive oil has been used for religious rituals and medicines. Olive oil has a vast history of being used as a home remedy for skincare. It's used throughout the world and is recognized as one of the healthiest diets in the world.


PROPERTIES :-
  • It has a high level of anti-oxidant, due to which it protects our skin from any type of damage.
  • It refreshes dehydrated skin by moisturizing it.
  • It act as a skin exfoliation which helps in removing dead cells.

  • It improves skin elasticity.  

USE OF OLIVE OIL IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-

1) FOR FAIRNESS -

                      1/4th tbsp olive oil
                      1/4th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
                      2 to 3 drops honey
                      5 drops lemon juice
                      1 tbsp red lentil (masoor dal) powder
                      Rose water

  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add rose water accordingly to make a thin paste.
  • Mix this mask thoroughly.
  • Apply it evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with water


2) FOR GLOW -

                 1/4th tbsp olive oil
                 5 to 6 drops glycerin oil  
                 1/4th tbsp orange juice
                 1 tbsp fuller's earth (multani mitti)
                 1/4th tbsp lodh bark (lodhra) powder
                 Rose water

  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Add rose water to make a thin paste
  • Apply it evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10  minutes
  • Rinse it with water


3) FOR ACNE -

                    1/4th tbsp olive oil
                    5 to 6 drops glycerin oil
                    4 to 5 drops lemon oil
                    2 tbsp liquorice (mulethi dal) powder
                    5 to 6 drops turmeric oil
                    Rose water

  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add rose water accordingly to make a thin paste.
  • Mix this mask thoroughly.
  • Apply it evenly on your face.
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with water


4) FOR DARK SPOTS -

                       1/4th tbsp olive oil
                       8 to 10 drops glycerin oil
                       6 to 8 drops of lemon juice
                       3 to 5 drops almond oil
                       1 tbsp fuller's earth (multani mutti)

  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl
  • Add water to make a thin paste
  • Apply it evenly on your face 
  • Leave it for 10  minutes
  • Rinse it with water
