INDIAN LILAC (neem)

                                   The tree neem belong to genus Azadirachta and species Azadirachta indica.
Among with many other plants and bushes, this plant is very useful to mankind in every aspect. It's one of the most beneficial ayurvedic medicinal tree. Every part of this tree i.e leaves, fruits, bark, flowers and root plays an important role in ayurvedic medicines. 
                                                              Neem is a fast growing tree, it is noted for its drought resistance and it can grow in any type of soil or atmosphere and requires less amount of water. It purifies air and improves Oxygen level in atmosphere.


PROPERTIES :- 

  • It is also used externally as a skin cleansing agent helps to reduce pimple.
  • Neem detoxify the blood, and balance blood sugar levels.
  • Leaves along with branch are boiled in water and this water is use to give baths children suffering from skin diseases.
  • Dried leaves of neem is placed in cupboards to prevent clothes from insects.
  • Neem leaves are dried and burnt in some region to keep mosquitoes away.
  • It is a key ingredient in providing natural way to keep our crops protected from pests.
  • It is anti-fungal, anti-diabetic, antiviral and antibacterial.
  • It's a main content in treating skin disease problems.
  • Neem oil is used in hair oil for healthy and nourished hair. 
  • Neem leaves are used to treat chickenpox.
  • Stem of neem is used as a toothbrush which kills the bacteria's present in our mouth and cause bad breath.  


 USE OF NEEM IN DIFFERENT MASKS :-

1) FOR ACNE -

                    1 tbsp neem leaves powder
                    5 drops honey
                    2 drops almond oil
                    1/2 tbsp fullers earth (multani mitti)
                    Rose water


  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add rose water to it to make a thin paste
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water

 2) FOR SKIN ELASTICITY -


                   1 tbsp neem leaves powder
                   Pinch of nutmeg (jayaphala) powder
                   1/2 tbsp fullers earth (multani mitti)
                   5 drops honey
                   2 drops almond oil
                   Rose water

  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add rose water to it to make a thin paste
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water


 3) FOR FAIRNESS -

                       1 tbsp neem leaves powder
                       1/4 th tbsp liquorice (mulethi) powder
                       1/2 tbsp fullers earth (multani mitti)
                       2 drops almond oil
                       5 drops honey
                       Rose water

  • Mix all the above ingredients together
  • Add rose water to it to make a thin paste
  • Apply this mask evenly on your face
  • Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Rinse it with lukewarm water
